The dominant legacy research stack, the Confirmit and FocusVision lineage, now sits inside Forsta, which became part of Press Ganey, which Qualtrics agreed to acquire for $6.75 billion in October 2025 and closed in May 2026. It is one of the largest consolidations the research-platform market has seen.
If your firm runs on one of those platforms, that is not an abstract industry headline. It is your production environment. And it raises a set of legitimate, open questions that only time will answer.
Reasonable people read this differently
We want to be careful here, because this is a genuine debate and the field is split on it.
Some teams see real questions worth asking. Will the platform keep being invested in and supported on its own roadmap, or be folded into Qualtrics's experience-management suite, which was built for a different buyer? What happens to pricing over time after an outlay of that size? Migration campaigns from other vendors are already in market, which tells you the uncertainty is real.
Other teams see stability and continued investment under a better-resourced owner, and have no wish to disrupt a stack that works well for them. That is a perfectly rational position too.
We are not here to tell you what to conclude, predict a price increase that has not been announced, or talk you out of a platform you are happy with. The consolidation is a source of uncertainty, not a verdict.
What we can offer is a way to keep your options open
What we can do is make sure that, whatever you decide, you have a modern alternative you have actually tried, not just heard about.
MX8 Labs runs the whole research operation on one platform: design, programming, QA, fielding, data processing, and reporting in a single workflow. It can run the work you run today, including Hierarchical Bayes conjoint, MaxDiff, segmentation, trackers, and creative testing, on 100% real respondents across 70+ integrated panels, plus conversational SMS and AI voice. A Word document becomes a live survey in minutes, with edits made in plain English.
It fits the way your team already works. It automates the steps that eat your margin, much of which you have probably already outsourced to scripting, data-processing, and coding vendors, so it replaces external spend, not the expertise your clients pay for. The platform is the engine you run on, under your own brand. It is never a shortcut around your firm.
Try it on your own study
If you are a current Forsta, Confirmit, or FocusVision user and you want to see what a modern stack feels like, we will set you up with a free trial. Bring a study you already understand, run it on MX8 Labs alongside your existing tools, and judge the comparison on your own numbers: speed, breadth, and the quality of the output.
No conclusion required. Just options.
