Roger Bird
Roger is a chartered accountant and entrepreneur with finance leadership experience in technology, healthcare and education. He has worked with private equity firms, managed acquisitions and company exits, and served as CFO of Deductive before its acquisition by MarketCast.

Roger has served as Chief Financial Officer of MX8 Labs since February 2023. His previous CFO roles include MediaBrain and Deductive, the data analytics and engineering business formerly known as Dativa and Genius Digital. Deductive was acquired by MarketCast in 2020.
As Finance Director at Alpha Plus Group, Roger worked with Sovereign Capital on its acquisition-led growth strategy and successful exit. He led due diligence for three acquisitions and also served as Company Secretary and Head of IT. At Astrum Education, he helped introduce new systems and grow the private equity-backed education business.
Earlier in his career, Roger helped float LiDCO Group on the AIM market and served as its Financial Controller and Company Secretary. He trained at Deloitte & Touche, auditing industrial and technology companies. His experience includes financial controls, management accounts, information-system upgrades and reporting to boards, banks and investors.
Roger is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Exeter College, Oxford, and holds an MA (Oxon).
