Michael joined MX8 Labs as Chairman of the Board in November 2025. His career spans more than three decades in media technology, including broadband media, interactive television, multiroom DVR, hybrid TV and advanced advertising.
He served as CEO of Ucentric Systems, a multiroom DVR pioneer acquired by Motorola, and Cognitive Networks, whose automatic content recognition technology was acquired by VIZIO. Following the Cognitive acquisition, he led VIZIO’s Inscape Data Service business as General Manager.
In 2017, Michael co-founded Dativa, a data science and engineering business specializing in granular television data that was later acquired by MarketCast. His advisory work also includes founding MediaTech Strategies, where he consulted for established companies, startups and investors. In 2024, he received an Emmy for his technical contributions to the automatic content recognition technology developed by Cognitive Networks.
